I often come across people who advise me…Islam is a religion of ease.Take it easy.Do not over burden yourself.To the point that we have reduced Islam to our drawing rooms and dinning tables.Well true islam means to strive,struggle…and invest your 100%….And Hard….Very Hard…only then will you be blessed with Allah’s guidance….To the extent that you risk conflict with the entire world…to uphold the truth…So to what extent are we willing to come out of our comfort zones…or is it just talks…Islam is a religion of Action by the way.

Here is the evidence from the Quran.

وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا ۚ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ

Waallatheena jahadoo feena lanahdiyannahum subulana wainna Allaha lamaAAa almuhsineena

As for those who strive hard in Us (Our Cause), We will surely guide them to Our Paths (i.e. Allah’s Religion - Islamic Monotheism). And verily, Allah is with the Muhsinun (good doers).”

Commentary Tafeemul Quran:

There it was said that a person who exerts will exert for his own good (Ayat 6). Here it is being reassured that Allah does not leave alone those who strive in His cause sincerely, even at the risk of a conflict with the entire world, but He helps and guides them and opens for them ways towards Himself. He teaches them at every step the way of winning His approval and goodwill and He shows them the light at every turning point to discriminate between the right way and the wrong ways of life. In short, Allah helps and succors and guides them according to their sincerity and intensity of desire for goodness.

Commentary Yusuf Ali:

Strive in Our Cause.

All that man can do is to strive in Allah’s Cause. As soon as he strives with might and main, with constancy and determination, the Light and Mercy of Allah come to meet him. They cure his defects and shortcomings. They provide him with the means by which he can raise himself above himself. They point out the Way, and all the Paths leading up to it.

The Way of Allah (al Sirat al Mustaqim) is a Straight Way .

But men have strayed from it in all directions. And there are numerous Paths by which they can get back to the Right Way , the way in which the purity of their own nature, and the Will and Mercy of Allah, require them to walk. All these numerous Paths become open to them once they give their hearts in keeping to Allah and work in right Endeavour (Jihad) with all their mind and soul and resources. Thus will they get out of the Spider’s web of this frail world and attain to eternal Bliss in the fulfilment of their true Destiny.
